“OWL” 03 days/ 02 Nights. ( Island of Monkeys.) Cod: IQT-BC-B3

Leave for the jungle: 09:30 am Arrive back in Iquitos :3:00 pm Depending of the flight
DAY 1:
Reception at Iquitos Airport or we pick you up from your Hotel and transfer you to the main harbor to take our speed boat to visit the floating houses in Belen. We navigate the Amazon River to see the river side people. We arrive at the Bombonaje Camp, welcome drink: accommodation in rustic cabins with mosquitoes net. We eat a typical lunch before walking in the botanical garden to see flora and fauna (Medicinal plants) as well as the amazing Lupuna “ceiba” tree. Dinner and then a night excursion observing insects, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs etc. Overnight.

DAY 2:
Sunrise excursion & bird watching – different species. Breakfast. Excursion by boat down river to visit a Amazon river side village & a hamlet that produces the famous sugar beat rum and its derivatives. We then go piranha fishing in a smaller stream before lunch. After lunch, a Jungle walk at Yanamono island. to watch birds and then, after dinner, a nocturnal canoe ride in a tributary or the Amazon river. Overnight

DAY 3:
Early morning jungle walk. Breakfast, followed by the departure from the Bombonaje Camp up the Amazon River to visit a village called INDIANA, continuing up river, we stop at the preservation Monkey Island to see about six species of primates. Then we go up river for a jungle walk and canoe ride to see lilies pads, then we continue up river to watch a grey and pink fresh-water dolphins, packed lunch on the way, arriving in Iquitos at about 4 pm
Transfer at the hotel or airport.

TRUMPETER 04 days/ 03 nights ( Island of Monkeys.) - Cod: IQT-BC-T4

2 Night in Bombonaje camp +1 Night Camping

DAY 1:
Reception at Iquitos Airport or we pick you up from your Hotel and transfer to the main harbour to take our speed boat to visit the floating houses in Belen. Then we navigate up the Amazon River with a great chance to see the river side villages and peoples. We arrive at the Bombonaje Adventure Camp, have a welcome drink, and settle into our acomodation in rustic cabins with mosquito nets. Lunch is a typical meal after which we go walking in the primary botanical garden, to see flora and fauna (Medicinal plants.) also your guide will explain to you some jungle survival tips, we’ll see the amazing giant Lupuna “ceiba tree before returning back to the Camp . Dinner. Night excursion to see insects, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs etc. if is a clear night, it’ll be a great opportunity to see the star constellations. Overnight.

DAY 2 Bombonaje Camp – Camping :
Sunrise excursion & bird watching – different species in their habitat. After breakfast we go by boat down the Amazon river to visit a Yanamono Village. Then we go to visit a local sugar cane ‘factory’ where the famous sugar beat rum and its derivatives are produced. We can make the sugar cane juice in a machine which originated in the year 1800 After this, we continue down the river until a shaman house who is going to explain to you how he conducts the ceremony and he will show you the traditional medicine plants he uses for cures (Optional). Then we go back to the Bombonaje Camp. After lunch we will cross the Amazon river to Yanamono Island then walk for 30 minutes to a lake for camping, exploring the area at night looking for alligators, owls, night monkeys, frogs, and spiders before heading to bed in the middle of the Jungle.

DAY 03:
After breakfast we go for a longer jungle walk crossing the island in secondary jungle until Uruguay Village and San Pedro Village. We’ll visit their school and botanical garden. On the way back we cross the island in primary jungle. Lunch in Bombonaje adventure camp and we go to a small stream to swim and catch piranhas and cat fish. Dinner. Overnight.

Then we navigate the Amazon River with a great opportunity to see the river side villages and people. Welcome drink in Cumaceba Lodge. Acomodation in private bungalow. Then jungle walk in primary rainforest observing flora & fauna. Buffet style lunch with a typical dishes. Excursion by boat to watch gray and pink water dolphins, swimming in the river and the amazing Sunset. Dinner and night canoe ride to look for alligators, birds, eels, etc listening the symphonic natural sounds from the crickets, frogs etc. Overnight.

DAY 2:
Early sun rise excursion and bird watching, canoe ride to look for hoatzins and many more species. After breakfast we go for a jungle walk in primary jungle to visit a Yaguas Indian community to see their customs dances and handcrafts. After a typical lunch we go down the Amazon river and stop in a preservation monkey island to see about six species of primates, we then move on to the Bombonaje Adventure Camp for a welcome drink and cabin accommodation. Dinner and jungle walk at night to look for tarantulas, owls, night monkeys, etc. Overnight.

DAY 03:
Early sun rise excursion on the Amazon river edge, breakfast and a walk in a primary botanical garden to see the flora, fauna and medicinal plants, also your guide will give to you some jungle survival tips. You’ll see giant LUPUNA CEIBA TREE, and then head back to the Bombonaje Adventure Camp. Then we go down the Amazon River until Yanamono Village before visiting a sugar cane factory that produces the famous sugar beat rum and its derivatives. We can make the sugar cane juice in a machine that dates from the year 1800. After this, we go back up river to a shaman house who will explain to you how he conducts the ceremony and he will show you the traditional medicine plants he uses fore cures (Optional) Then we go back to the Bombonaje Adventure Camp. After lunch we return to Iquitos.

DAY 04:
Early morning bird watching excursion. After breakfast then we walk in to the jungle until Yanayacu River, tributary of the Amazon, where we go fishing for piranhas in canoe after which we go back through primary jungle back to Cumaceba Lodge, Lunch.
3.00 pm return to Iquitos city and transfer to the hotel or airport.
